Hi and happy Friday. I really cant believe that it is the end of the week and the end of the half term holidays. I am writing this just before leaving for West Wittering Beach, complete with a picnic, children and dogs!

But . . the weather it would seem is set to be good to us with a sunny weekend, so if you are planning to get the BBQ out this is a very yummy chicken just right to drop onto the grill ( or if you prefer it tastes just as good cooked in the oven)

What you will need for your Sticky Licking Chicken Legs
- 8 free range chicken legs
- Juice of a lemon
- 2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
- 4 tablespoons Honey
- 1 tablespoon Tomato Puree
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- Into a pan put the lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, tomato puree, garlic clove gently heat. Remove from heat once all of the ingredients have come together
- Wash the chicken legs and dry
- Into a dish place your chicken legs and pour over the marinade, leave overnight in the fridge if you can, if not at least for 2-3 hours
To cook your sticky licking chicken legs in the oven
- Preheat your oven to gas 4 / 180 C / 350 F .
- Place your chicken and the sticky marinade in an oven proof dish cover the chicken and cook for 25 minutes
- Turn the oven temp to gas 5/190 C/ 375 F, uncover the chicken and cook for another 15 minutes
- For the last 5 minutes watch carefully to ensure your chicken doesnt burn
(Please note that cooking times may vary depending on your oven)
To BBQ
Take your chicken from the marinade place on the bbq turning each of the legs on a regular basis. The cook time on the bbq will vary hugely depending on how hot your bbq is
To enjoy at their best pick up with your fingers and enjoy! Serve with warm bread and a green salad
Whatever your plans are for this weekend enjoy it
Take care
