For anyone who doesn’t like Christmas look away now BECAUSE . . 3 weeks today it will be Christmas day, so organizing for Christmas – the Christmas Time Line part 2, helpful hints to help you simplify and enjoy the run up to Christmas. If you follow the time line you will make your way to Christmas happier and less stressed than you might otherwise do.
In my experience I always think I have LOADS of time only to find that I haven’t and I have left things far too late and then I have to pack HUGE amounts into the least possible time! This year I am going to be organized, this year I am going to be . . . . you know what I mean, I know you do.
With 3 weeks to go a few things to think about . .
Start to finalize your menu plan, not just for Christmas day, think about Christmas Eve, Boxing day, snacks and of course those little extra bits that you can whip out when unexpected guests arrive
Start preparing your shopping list and shop for non perishable foods – book your slot if you are having a delivery
Start cleaning the house, you want your house to look warm and welcoming for your guests, windows, skirting boards
Stock up on candles – you can never have too many
Prepare the guest room, one less thing to do as we get nearer to Christmas
Buy your Christmas tree, in our house we just quite simply cant have Christmas without one and you want to have a choice, you can always keep it outside if you dont want to put it up yet
