Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness . . . early in the morning that is exactly how it is. It is Autumn and I love it but it makes you change the way you think.
Gone are the warm days of summer, memories of the sea and sailing and to stick to nautical terms – I am thinking it is time ‘batten down the hatches’.
But Autumn is a season that I love:
- The rich brown earth of the ploughed fields
- The gold of a newly harvested field
the trees changing from green to gold to deep red
- Fires, the warm glow that fills the room
- Hot Chocolate
- Walks in the woods
- Playing in the leaves
Time to make soup – try my carrot soup
Logs are gathered
Autumn is a very peaceful season, like the hour before bedtime , time to snuggle up
I like decorating for Autumn, little things like changing where pots and bowls sit, looking through the photos of summer, putting them in frames and adding them to the wall.
How are you going to be decorating for Autumn ?
Take care and thank you for reading, till next time
