Only two more weeks of the summer holidays and then we are all back to school. A little sad I think. I love the holidays, I love being with my children or at least 99.99% of the time I do! A mothers love!  But I guess like many mums I have an off day once in a while and today I feel was one of those days. It was raining here so we did the shopping for sports shoes. My son and I disagreed as to the style. In fact one thing I have noticed during these holidays is how much he has grown up, he now has an opinion, he likes to voice it and he is once again pushing the boundaries, just like he did as a toddler.

A Mothers Love . . . .

Where did my little boy go
The one who laughs a lot
And smiles a while
My little boy who is happy to play
And be with his mum for a day

Who is this person I see before me now
With sullen face
Who likes to sulk
The one who shouts at me
Argues with me
Never seems to listen to me
Is it the same boy ?
How can this be?

But just as I go past his room to bed
I see my boy
The one who laughs a lot
And smiles a while
He is sleeping
Resting his weary head
Perhaps tomorrow, another day
Will bring me back the boy I know so well
The one who laughs a lot
And smiles a while
My little boy who is happy to play
And be with his mum for another day

. . . A Mothers Love is unconditional and forever
