How are things with you today? The weather here isn’t fantastic but that’s never stopped us.

How are your holidays going? Yesterday we caught up with freinds we dont get to see very often, but how lovely it was adults and children alike just picked up from where we left off last year. We have had some fun days on the beach, swimming, digging, crabbing and even Mum gets to make a coffee and read a bit. I am hopeful there will still be a few more beach days over the next few weeks, hard to beleive that we are nearly at the end of the summer hols, each year it seems to go a little faster and each year the children are a year older.

Remember – a room in the garden part one, when we made the garden table, well things have moved on and the seat did get painted. I wanted this part of the garden to be light and welcoming so to paint my seat I used Cuprinol Garden Shades , Country Cream. The terrace did get swept and tidied up and the border was deconstructed and re constructed in a way that means lots of Dahlias, Sweet Peas, Verbena, Sunflowers and Cosmos.

As well as flowers and pots we used drift wood to decorate

The wild flowers around the terrace soften the edge, not only that mixed in there are some herbs which in the evening smell fantastic. The honeysuckle is now growing up the trellis and with the candle lit behind it in the evening looks great.

We have and are still enjoying the garden this summer, now chatting about the next project, this one might require a man and a digger though!

Till next time and thank you for reading – I hope to be back tomorrow with a rather amazing and tasty little something. Have a sneak peak at some of the photos from the garden

Take care
