Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies a firm favourite with the children and me if I am honest! – not really a surprise! This is a really easy recipe to make and home made Chocolate Chip Cookies are fantastic to take on a picnic or in te garden or with a cup of coffee or . .  in so many ways .  So come on get cooking – in fact even better get cooking with the children. Ok so it might get a little messy – but it is fun, dont you think so? When made these cookies are soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside – melt in your mouth delicious

Chocolate Chip Cookies

So for Chocolate Chip Cookies you will need . .

  • 4oz (100g) butter
  • 4oz (100g) Caster Sugar
  • 1 Free Range Egg
  • 2 drops Vanilla Essence
  • 6oz (175g) Plain Flour
  • 4oz (100g) Chopped Chocolate
  • 1 heaped dessert spoon of Cocoa Powder

Mix the butter and sugar until they are light and fluffy

  1. Add in the flour, egg and vanilla essence and mix
  2. Add in your cocoa powder mix well
  3. Add in your chopped chocolate – try to sprinkle over evenly
  4. Using a teaspoon , place a spoonful of mix onto a greased or lined baking tray, the cookies will spread when cooked so leave a little space betwen each one
  5. Bake your cookies for 10 – 15mins at 180 degC, 350degF or Gas 4, when they are ready they will still be slightly soft

Now my son decided in this variation

Take two cookies spread with butter icing and sandwich together – even tastier
